Fred Dickinson
Fred Dickinson joined PooleMcKinley in 2007. Fred brings with him 20-plus years of experience leading the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, where he served as Executive Director. During his time in public service, Fred worked for seven governors and managed a budget which grew to $500 million. Fred was responsible for 5,000 employees, including the state’s largest law enforcement contingent, the Florida Highway Patrol, which has more than 2,000 men and women serving Florida’s citizens. Fred transitioned the agency through several IT overhauls, resulting in Florida being recognized nationally for its efficiencies in delivering services throughout the nation.
As a result of his time working for the state, Fred has a vast understanding of statewide agency operations and has built long-standing relationships at all levels of government. Before joining the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Fred spent four years practicing law.
Fred holds a B.A. in Government from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina and a J.D. from the Florida State University College of Law.
