Angela Dempsey
Angela Dempsey is a veteran Florida public policy leader. Prior to joining the PooleMcKinley team in 2013, she managed Florida Governor Rick Scott’s legislative activities as his Legislative Affairs Director. Angela has served in senior capacities across throughout the Florida legislative and executive branches. Her experience includes work at the Florida Division of Emergency Management, where she had primary responsibility for policy and financial matters related to ensuring that Florida is prepared to respond to emergencies, recover from the, and mitigate against their impacts; she also served as the Florida Public Service Commission; in the Florida House of Representatives; and in the Executive Office of Governor Jeb Bush, where she provided policy and budget analysis for the Office of Policy and Budget, which included active involvement in policy development and advocacy in the areas of community planning, affordable housing, emergency management, and community development.
Angela’s strong relationships across state government, and her experience with both policy and budget matters in the legislative and executive branches of Florida government, are exceptionally beneficial in helping companies and organizations achieve their business and policy goals.
Angela holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and a Master of Science in Corporate Communication and Marketing from The Florida State University.
Angela lives in Tallahassee with her husband, Hayden. They have two daughters, Emily and Caroline.
